STEVEN IJAMS
owner/head instructor

Played as a setter/opposite at Lewis University, where he competed in the 1996 Men's NCAA Final Four.  He played 7 years on mini tours, and part time on the AVP between 1991-2002.   Steven also had four Motherlode Volleyball Classic first place victories with 2 different partners in Aspen Colorado.  Steven has coached dozens of Professional Beach Volleyball players including Chris Schaefer, Leanne Schuster, Nancy Mason, Ali Wood, Krista Bloomquist, Danalee Bragado-Corso, Michelle Morse, Carrie Bush-Dodd, Jen Meredith, Gail Stammer, Marla O'Hara, Pat Keller, Stacey Kammas and several others.  With over 15,000 hours of beach volleyball coaching experience, he has achieved great success in building and maintaining the highest level of respect amongst players and students as well as other Instructors.

RANDY SCHWARTZ
adult/youth instructor

Randy has been with South Bay Volleyball since 2004. He started training with us as a student in 1997.  Since then, he has become an amazingly dynamic trainer. He has logged over 800 hours of instruction.

SARAH MAKHIJA
adult/youth instructor

Sarah, AKA  "MOCHA" has trained well over 400 hours with Steven Ijams/South Bay Volleyball since 2007.  During this time, she has adopted both his technical skill and coaching methods for today's more "modern" game.
