many classes are there in a session?
A: There are 6 weeks of classes
in each session.

Q: Do you
teach weekends or weekdays?
A: Both. We offer classes
year round on the weekends and we offer weekday classes between
daylight savings time months. |
Q: How
many students do you have per class?
A: We typically keep the number
to 12 per class and allow 3 people to make up from other classes. |
Q: How
much are Private Lessons?
A: We have several package options. Contact
us for rates. |
Q: Do you
have tournaments?
A: We try to host 4/5 tournaments
throughout the winter. There are MANY tournaments that
the CBVA runs during the spring/summer/fall. |
Q: What
is the average age of students in class?
A: We have a big range between
14 and up. We aren't concerned about age. We run
most of our classes based on skill level. |
Q: What
do I do if I miss classes?
A: We allow 3 spaces in each class for students
to make up a class in. Students may make up a maximum of TWO classes in
similar or lower level class within the 6 week session that student registered
for. Class make ups are dependant on the availability. Further, students
are not allowed to make up classes in a level higher than they registered for. |
Q: How
will I know if classes get cancelled the day of class or for
Holidays?
A: Most of the time we know well
in advance if we have to work classes around a certain date.
Unfortunately, some situations occur that leave us unable
to have class without much notice. In the case of wind/rain/flooding
etc...see Q/A above. If for other reasons, in this very
uncommon situations, we almost always have a make up class. We
kindly request your flexibility on our make up date. In
case of last minute class cancellations, we leave live status updates
on our facebook page. Just

request us. Also,
we leave outgoing VM message. If
you are curious about holidays, we often update our website
or just contact us and we'll let you know. |
Q:
I have a son/daughter interested in learning Volleyball. How
can I get him/her signed up?
A: For an introduction to the sport, we HIGHLY
recommend to starting with private lessons. We have highly trained instructors
that work well with this demographic. |
Q:
Can I make up a class from last session?
A: No, all make ups must be within the 6 week
session you registered for. Unfortunately, if the 6th class is missed,
the student will be unable to make up that class. |
Q:
Can I sign up for more than one class?
A: Of course. |
Q:
Can I buy South Bay Volleyball clothing?
A: Yes, we often have baseball hats, beanies,
and t-shirts available. |
Q:
I missed several classes already. Can I rollover my payment
to next session?
A: No, we're sorry but we do not allow students
to rollover their paymentsor offer credit for any missed classes. |
Q:
I signed up and realized I can't make it to class, can I get
a refund?
A: Due to the volume of last minute cancellations,
we do not offer refundsor credits unless we are able to fill your spot at the
regular price. |
Q:
Do you train Professionals?
A: Yes but on a case by case basis. We
prefer to train certain professionals that meet our requirements
- exclusively and not all tour athletes due to conflict of interest.
